Coenagrionidae - Amphicnemis gracilis

Amphicnemis gracilis is not a common damselfly species. I only bumped into it a couple of times during my past five years of odonate samplings. Amphicnemis gracilis is strictly restricted to swamp habitat. The male adult has metalic dark green body. However, the immatured female adult looks more elegant with stricking red body.
